Song of the day: oggi mi sono svegliata con "Slow Down, baby, now you're movin' way too fast. You gotta  gimme little lovin', gimme little lovin', Ow! if you want our love to last." Erano all'inizio dell'avventura, i vecchi tempi di Amburgo e Liverpool, com'erano giovani e spensierati....:))

Ingredienti x circa 10 frittelle
150gr patate lesse
60gr farina di mais
100ml latte
sale
olio d'oliva

Condimento
salsa di pomodoro
aglio
olio
origano
olive snocciolate
capperi

For Liverpuddlians and English speaking people everywhere …

Today after a long 3-month break, I have officially started to study again, I'm happy, I missed my books :))
Studying like cooking is a passion and a hobby I can never give up doing even if I know that it will be a stess for me and also a challenge ...well, it always is.
I'm getting ready for the Medieval Art History exam so for a while I will focus on the Roman Churches apses.
Considering that I will never be able to do everything I want as well as I would like, during this time I must live aside my cooking, so the recipe in my blog, usually very quick to make, have become even more so.
Well, to change the subject....to take the photo I had to go out on my balcony because the light was going down with the sun. Eventhough I was wearing two heavy wool jackets I got a very bad headache, plus a freezing wind was throwing everything all over the place, so despite myself the preparation time got longer than planned.
If I had to decide between cooking and photographing in, at least, a decent way I really couldn't choose which is more difficult!
While I was busy carrying out these two tasks, my husband didn't pay any attention to my worries. On the contrary, he was enjoying his appetizer as I was "struggling" in the cold winter. This appetizer could also be called finger food were it not for the fact the the tomato sauce was dripping on the floor through Gianni's hands :))... no big deal, it didn't phase him!!

Song of the day: I got up in the morning with this song in my head: "Slow Down, baby, now you're movin' way too fast. You gotta  gimme little lovin', gimme little lovin', Ow! if you want our love to last."
They sang it at the beginning of their journey, in the old times in Amburgh and Liverpool; how young and light-hearted they were!

Ingredients for 10 mini cakes
150gr boiled potatoes
60gr corn flour
100ml milk
salt
olive oil

Sauce:
tomato sauce
garlic
olive oil
oregan
pitted olives
capers

In a bowl mix the potatoes, flour, milk and salt. In a small pan ( I used the blini pan) heat some olive oil and then pour in two Tbs of the mixture. Cook each cake on both sides, turning it carefully, until golden.
